Two hundred job opportunities for Merseyside residents
With mass unemployment and rising rates of redundancies being ever present in the media, DT Hughes Contractors has agreed to employ 200 young people as identified from community sport projects.
David Hughes, Director of DT Hughes is quoted as saying “We want to give back to the region in which our business has grown. As a family run business which has grown year upon year, we want to employ the youth and nurture them to have a lasting career with our business.
Community boxing services mean that people can access boxing and sport services who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend. Over the course of the Weapons Down Gloves Up boxing programme young people will complete work experience within DT Hughes, as well as gaining qualifications needed to work for us. It will be rewarding to watch young people start and finish the 10-week programme and to gain secure employment. I am keen to see results and fulfil our agreement to employ 200 19-25-year olds.
